Geologist

Description:

  • Identify mineral deposits through surface or underground mapping or remote sensing;
  • Comply with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations;
  • Conduct field studies on mineralized showings;
  • Plan, supervise, and execute exploration programs and related logistics;
  • Perform geological logging of drill cores, report collected data in specialized software, and select samples following QA/QC protocols;
  • Monitor drilling program progress;
  • Predict the underground distribution of rocks or minerals based on outcrops, drill holes, or other underground data;
  • Contribute to the overall exploration strategy development;
  • Present the results of completed work;
  • Be a member of the Ordre des Géologues du Québec (OGQ);
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested by management;
  • Be familiar with and apply standards related to UL ECOLOGO® certification.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Earth Sciences or Engineering with a geology option;
  • Good teamwork skills;
  • Open-mindedness, courtesy, a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Resourcefulness and autonomy;
  • Varied schedules.
