Geologist
Description:
- Identify mineral deposits through surface or underground mapping or remote sensing;
- Comply with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations;
- Conduct field studies on mineralized showings;
- Plan, supervise, and execute exploration programs and related logistics;
- Perform geological logging of drill cores, report collected data in specialized software, and select samples following QA/QC protocols;
- Monitor drilling program progress;
- Predict the underground distribution of rocks or minerals based on outcrops, drill holes, or other underground data;
- Contribute to the overall exploration strategy development;
- Present the results of completed work;
- Be a member of the Ordre des Géologues du Québec (OGQ);
- Perform any additional tasks as requested by management;
- Be familiar with and apply standards related to UL ECOLOGO® certification.
Requirements:
- University degree in Earth Sciences or Engineering with a geology option;
- Good teamwork skills;
- Open-mindedness, courtesy, a strong sense of responsibility;
- Resourcefulness and autonomy;
- Varied schedules.
