Core Logging technician
Description:
- Work alongside geologists and other core logging team members;
- Comply with workplace health and safety regulations;
- Follow work instructions and ensure workplace cleanliness;
- Verify markings on drill core boxes (drill hole number, box number, drilling interval, etc.);
- Properly open and place drill core boxes on logging tables to avoid damage or loss of fragments;
- Perform various tasks: record the end-of-box footage, label core boxes with aluminum tags, measure, align drill cores, record the number of fractures per meter, perform various calculations, etc.;
- (In some projects) Measure RQD (Rock Quality Designation) for quality assessment purposes during economic, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies;
- (In some projects) Conduct MPP measurements every 50 cm along the drill core, including electromagnetic conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements, as well as XRF analysis;
- Be familiar with and apply standards related to UL ECOLOGO® certification.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of experience;
- Good teamwork skills;
- Open-mindedness, courtesy, a strong sense of responsibility;
- Resourcefulness and autonomy;
- Varied schedules.
